OPERATION OF GENERATOR Mount Kent

1. Using 2 people (if possible) remove the generator from the storeroom.

2. Move the generator down the ramp and follow the pavers around the front of the building to the electrical switchboard.

3. When generator is in place put on the wheel brakes.

4. When in place on the level paved surface in front of the switchboard, check the fuel level in the tank and top up if necessary.

5. Ensure the lead and the hose to be used are free from knots, kinks etc.

6. Ensure mains power is turned on.

7. Connect the earth clip to the earth stake (refer Fig.1).

8. Plug the power lead into the generator (refer to Fig.2).

9. Plug the other end of the power lead into the outside switch on the side of the electrical switchboard (refer Fig.3).

10. On the right-hand side of the electrical switchboard there is a labelled toggle switch for the generator, move switch up from NORMAL to GEN SET (refer Fig 4).

11. Press the Generator “ON” switch (refer Fig.5).

12. Turn the petrol lever down to “ON” position (refer Fig.6).

13. Pull out the choke loop fully towards you (refer Fig.7).

14. Pull the start to cord to operate generator.

15. Push choke in to turn off when motor is running.
